What do you do if your parents are too overprotective?

Hey guys, I am 14 years old. The talent quest is coming next term and we have 1 week of holiday left. The talent quest is going to be in the 1st week of next term, and I thought of doing a dance with my best friends. We decided that we will meet at my friend's house to practice altogether. I told them I needed to ask my parents first, so I did. The moment I asked, they directly said "NO." without even discussing with me why I can't go. So I decided I should discuss it with them, and I did. I was very polite, but even if I talked to them about it, they say no. I'm not even going for a sleepover, just a tiny visit to her house. I'm leaving this country in 5 weeks and this is my only chance to spend quality time with my best friends, and my parents know that. They still say no. I went to her house once last year, and nothing happened. I GET IT, I should listen to my parent's rule. I always do, but isn't this too far? So please help me, I don't have anything else to do about it :(
