Why people like so much Johnny Depp claiming that he's a good actor? He always does the same things lately...?

When he's not working in a movie with Tim Burton, he plays the pirate... he's not able to do a normal role... look at him in The Tourist... he wasn't good at all because he seemed even there Jack Sparrow... he's a little bit good just when he has to play eccentric roles and lately he's always doing same things working for Disney and for Tim Burton... I don't see he's so good so...
