Nice places to live in South Derby?

I am moving from Chesterfield to south of Derby with work in July, I am currently looking for 'nice' places to live that aren'tt too far from amenities and is has good transport links to Derby (I cannot move any further north than Mickleover / Littleover). I have been looking at Mickleover, Littleover, Hilton, Burton, Swadlincote, Branston but I am not sure what these places are like. Any help would be appreciated!
