He may be afraid to invite you over because he doesn't want to see like the kinda guy that wants to do "x rated" things with you. I mean it would be the perfect opportunity to since his parents are out of town and such. So I think maybe he just doesn't want to come off as that kind of guy. Especially if he really likes you. He may value your relationship too much to put you in a situation where you may feel pressured to do other things. You should just ask him what he is up to. If he says nothing ask if you can come over to watch a movie or something.
