Did i make a mistake buying the Burton Custom X?

I am a bit of a begginer I have done 2 seasons and im going to Whistler to do my first summer season so not that much xp but i just bought myself the Burton Custom X and allot of stuff on Burton.com (i was only reading reviwes i didnt actually buy it there) says that its no board for begginers am i in trouble? is this a big deal? some advice would be great thanks.
